Would you like to support a construction industry apprentice but are finding it difficult to offer 2 to 3 years employment?

TrAC (Training & Apprenticeships in Construction) is a new initiative to help apprentices complete their full framework with a range of employers who can offer short term placement opportunities.

The main benefit is that you, the contractor, do not have to employ the apprentice. This role is undertaken by TrAC and the apprentice is only with you for the period of time you choose, usually 6 months, providing you with the flexibility you need in managing work flow and responding to your business needs. There are no messy employment contracts and TrAC will be on hand to provide support to your business whilst managing the apprentice throughout their programme of training, ensuring they are on track with their qualification.

TrAC has been set up in conjunction with CITB to make it easier to employ apprentices across a wide range of construction industry sectors and all apprentices come ready with a personal activity plan for the trade(s) they are undertaking and the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment they need.

TrAC will organise all relevant training and formal study, ensure that on the job training meets the needs of the apprenticeship and that all payments of wages and allowances are made when required and to the appropriate levels. Taking on an apprentice from TrAC is a simple, cost effective solution that lets you get on with the job of running your business.
